Return Policy

At Laney House Publishing, we want you to love every item from our Reader's Shop. If you're not completely satisfied with your purchase, we're here to help.

Return Window

​

We accept returns within 14 days of delivery for all products. To be eligible for a return, items must be:

  • Unused and in the same condition you received them

  • In their original packaging when applicable

  • Accompanied by proof of purchase (order confirmation email)

How to Initiate a Return

​

  1. Contact Us First: Email us at support@laneyhouse.com within 14 days of receiving your order. Please include:

    • Your order number

    • The item(s) you wish to return

    • Reason for return

    • Photos (if the item arrived damaged or defective)

  2. Await Authorization: We'll review your request and respond within 48 hours with return instructions and authorization.

  3. Ship Your Return: Once authorized, carefully package the item(s) and ship to the address provided in our response.

Return Shipping Costs

​

Standard Returns (Change of Mind):
If you're returning an item because you changed your mind, selected the wrong size/color, or simply don't want it anymore, you are responsible for return shipping costs.

Defective, Damaged, or Incorrect Items:
If you received an item that is defective, damaged during shipping, or doesn't match the product description on our website, we will cover return shipping costs. Please contact us with photos of the issue, and we'll arrange for a prepaid return label.

Refunds

​

Once we receive and inspect your returned item(s), we'll process your refund within 5-7 business days. Refunds will be issued to your original payment method.

Please note:

  • Original shipping costs are non-refundable (unless the return is due to our error or a defective product)

  • You'll receive an email confirmation once your refund has been processed

Exchanges

​

We currently process exchanges as a return and new purchase. If you'd like to exchange an item for a different size, color, or style:

  1. Return the original item following the process above

  2. Place a new order for the item you prefer

This ensures you receive your replacement as quickly as possible.

Non-Returnable Items

​

For hygiene and safety reasons, the following items cannot be returned once opened:

  • Specialty soaps and personal care items (unless defective or damaged upon arrival)

Damaged or Defective Items

​

Our Suppliers inspect all items before shipping, but occasionally issues occur during transit. If your item arrives damaged or defective:

  1. Contact us immediately with photos of the damage

  2. We'll work with our supplier to resolve the issue promptly

  3. We'll provide a replacement or full refund, including return shipping costs

Lost or Stolen Packages

​

While we offer free shipping store-wide, once an order leaves our fulfillment center, we cannot be held responsible for packages that are lost or stolen after delivery confirmation. We recommend:

  • Tracking your order using the tracking number provided

  • Using a secure delivery location

  • Contacting the shipping carrier directly if your package shows delivered but you haven't received it.
